bottlesThank you for visiting Baby bibs and Gourmands!

My name is Renato. My wife, Inga and I met in 2002. One of the things we enjoy most is a great dining experience and one of the greatest benefits of living in New York City is the food; you are never more than a few blocks away from a world-class meal. We’ve been to every three-star Michelin restaurant in the city and most one and two-star restaurants as well. In fact, my goal when I first moved to NYC in 1999 was to eat at every restaurant in the Zagat guide.

We have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and have visited many cities in France, Israel, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Spain, Turkey, and the Republic of Georgia. The meals on those trips were just as important to us as the tourist attractions themselves.

In 2015, we were blessed with our first child, Gianluca. With a newborn to care for, our travels and new dining experiences came to a complete halt. Now that he’s approaching two years old, we are ready to include him in our passion for traveling and fabulous food. Fortunately, he’s somewhat of a foodie himself, often preferring the food on our plates to that on the typical kid’s menu so we intend to make this a family affair.

As a couple, we literally ate out every meal so many of our friends encouraged us to start a food blog of some sort but we didn’t feel like there was enough to differentiate us from the dozens of food blogs on the internet… until now. So join us as we travel and eat at amazing destinations worthy of baby bibs and gourmands. We’ll share as much as we can about each trip – How we got there, where we stayed, what we did and of course, what we ate. Our hope is that the experiences we share will encourage others to get out and travel as well. In between trips, we’ll post about our hometown, New York City. Even after 18 years here, there is still so much to discover.
